Two Weeks of Project Melissa & Martha Done

Day 14 and week 2 of this project is complete!  Woo-hoo!  I should have had some crazy recipes lined up to celebrate this momentous occasion, but nope, no such luck.  Tonight is a class night for me, and I got home around 8:50 pm without a single recipe done for the day (in true Melissa-style).  In the interest of full disclosure, I want to let you know that I went through the cookbook purposely looking for 1) easy recipes and 2) recipes that I had the ingredients for.  It's grocery day tomorrow, and the fridge and cupboards are looking pretty darn bare, my friends.  I don't even have any butter.....gasp.....the horror!!!!

Tonight I made cinnamon-thyme tea, sauteed banana filling and Martha's soft-boiled eggs.  I certainly didn't have to be a culinary genius to pull off tonight's recipes, but I'm not ashamed.  Hey, I got the three recipes taken care of, didn't I?  I didn't even want to try the tea because it smelled so bad.  The sauteed banana filling had an overwhelming Bourbon flavor, and the soft-boiled eggs were a little too soft for my liking.  I'm more of a hard-boiled egg kind of girl.  Anyhoo, here are the photos:

So, another night of recipes is done.  I have made 38 recipes so far and have been cooking recipes every day for the past 14 days.  That's worth something.  I'm proud of myself, and even though it's been kind of tough to make recipes at times, I'm still managing to get it done.  Week 3, here I come!
