Disaster on Many Levels

Day 6 was not a good one for Project Melissa & Martha.  First of all, the molasses drop cookies burned.  Secondly, I just got home from working a wedding at the country club and couldn't make the third recipe of the day - the baked oven frites.  So, tomorrow I have to make 4 recipes; luckily it's Labor Day and a day off from grad school.  Thirdly, I'm actually posting Sunday's blog on Monday because it's now 12:02 am.  This is reality, folks!

Although the molasses drop cookies burned (I swear I followed Martha's directions word-for-word), the chocolate turnovers were truly delicious.  They were easy to make, too.  My daughter hasn't liked many of my recipes so far, but she gave the chocolate turnovers her stamp of approval by eating two of them.

Here's to hoping that tomorrow goes better than today.  Four recipes in one day seem like a lot to me, but I'll get it done.  Project Melissa & Martha will be back on track.
