Our house became "Casa de Hunt" tonight when I made some Hispanic dishes for dinner: arroz con pollo and Cuban black beans. The chicken dish was sp-i-c-e-y but delicious, and the black beans were yummy, especially loved the cilantro. Dan came up with the brilliant idea of making burritos out of the leftovers tomorrow for lunch. Consider it done, mi esposo!

The darn sweet-tooth in me usually wins out every night. I also made honey cake and honey cream-cheese frosting to go with it. Since the cake is still baking in the oven and the frosting is in the fridge, I'll post a picture of the completed cake in tomorrow's blog. Once again, the house smells like a bakery.
I just cleaned up the kitchen for the second time tonight; the numerous clean-ups and dishwashings are a bummer. My kitchen seems to always be in a state of disaster (although it's fairly clean right now). Here is a picture of what it looked like earlier.

Goodnight!
