Another day, another huge mess in the kitchen.  I think I've just come to accept that for the next year, actually for the next 361 days, my kitchen is going to be a continuous disaster area.  Right now my sinks are over-flowing, and the counters are covered, kind of like yesterday.  I wash the bowls and pans and cookie sheets and baking supplies, and then I use them again a short time later - three times a day.

I'm also realizing that this project is going to be a little more costly than I first thought.  I just assumed that I'd buy groceries as usual, but nope.  Every recipe calls for some crazy ingredient that I don't have which requires yet another trip to the grocery store.  Is selling an organ to finance this project going too far?  Just kidding...kind of.

In addition to the cornmeal pancakes, I also made pizza dough and pizza sauce.  It took the dough about an hour to rise, and the sauce had to simmer for almost an hour.  So, it took a while to prepare before I could actually bake the pizza in the oven.  It tasted really good, though.

Day 4 is done, and tomorrow will be yet another day of cooking.  I have an idea about the recipes I'm going to attempt tomorrow, but one of them is a pastry recipe so I'll be pushing myself out of the comfort zone  just a little bit.  Tune in tomorrow...
